Christina Seilern
Director - Studio Seilern

Biography
Columbia University and MIT alumna, Christina Seilern was one of the founding directors of Rafael Vinoly Architects’ London office and responsible for their award-winning European portfolio for over ten years. Projects of note during this period include: Leicester’s Curve theatre, Colchester’s Firstsite Contemporary Arts, as well as the newest addition to the London skyline: the 'Walkie-Talkie' of 20 Fenchurch Street.
During her tenure, the office grew to a staff of over fifty architects, before setting up her own studio in 2005.
The Studio applies its unique style across a range of building typologies, geographies and scale; from private residential projects to vast international masterplans.
Seilern’s growing portfolio in Africa has been recognised for its ground breaking work; including the multi award winning for Gota Dam Residence in collaboration with Sforza Architects.
Seilern is often inspired by her journeys, ‘The fact that I am not rooted in one place or culture makes it easy to immerse myself into different environments and react in a specific and personal way.’
It is also this approach that enables complex of projects, in both emerging and developed markets, to become possible.
