Senior Manager, Programme Delivery - Greater London Authority
Peter is responsible for delivering decentralised energy (DE) projects in contribution towards the Mayor of London’s climate change strategies. This involves providing public sector intervention where the market is failing to deliver those projects that have the potential to provide significant CO2 reductions at market-competitive energy prices. He also works with London’s 32 boroughs and the City of London Corporation to ensure they can play their part in enabling and delivering DE at borough level.
Peter’s current work includes Energy Master Planning and directing London’s Decentralised Energy Project Delivery Unit (DEPDU). This is a European Union supported initiative to provide technical, commercial and financial advisory support to help others bring their decentralised energy projects to market. He is also working on strategic initiatives including London’s approach to the energy aspects of the emerging Smart City agenda and the recovery and utilisation of London’s low grade waste heat for use in building heating and domestic hot water production.
