World Cities Network meets with Rob Firth, Director at HOK, to discuss city resilience and shifts in the built environment.

At the HOK office in London, Director and Senior Vice President, Rob Firth, talks to World Cities Network about the shifts in the built environment. Rob debates whether cities are becoming more important than countries and due to this shift, there has been an increase in demand for strong leadership in the built environment. To support this debate, Rob gives examples that mayors are pushing cities forward in policy making rather than prime ministers.

It is not only shifts by policy makers that are changing the cities, clients and designers are also taking new approaches to make their buildings adaptable for the future.
